Brand identity for data analytics tool; Count.

Count already had a brand kit, but it was playing it safe; it couldn't decide between being bold and melting into the background. So we went for bold. Everything in business intelligence is grey, blue and glass effect, so we leaned into lime and magenta instead, featuring a 90s flat aesthetic, which suited a tone of voice that was already tongue in cheek.

At conferences the colour made us easy to spot, and the swag caught attention. We worked across the whole identity: multiple website overhauls, slide decks, YouTube thumbnails and other social assets, LinkedIn ads, swag, and the UI inside the product, so the marketing and the product read as one brand.

We also built an illustration language from the product's own UI elements.

Before - The old kit had too many colours, and a lot of the fainter tones were in heavy use, so everything bled into the same boring sea of sameness. There was a shape identity, which was pretty cool, but at large scale the shapes stopped reading as the graphs and data visualisation points they came from. Mulish Bold on the subheaders sat too close to Riforma to earn its place. It didn't need a full overhaul; it needed to be confident, and brought out of the wings.
